Workspace administration
Workspace access and invitations
Workspace roles determine how teammates use data resources and administer the workspace. Assign a role when inviting someone, then review membership as responsibilities change.
Choose a workspace role
| Role | What it enables |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Read data resources and saved results |
| Member | Create, edit, and delete data resources; build and run workflows and queries |
| Workspace Admin | Manage workspace memberships, invitations, settings, and resources |
Open Admin → Roles for the resource-by-resource permission matrix. A System Administrator manages platform accounts and workspaces as a separate role; data operations still use the active workspace's scope and access rules.
Invite a teammate
- Open Admin → Invitations and select New invitation.
- Enter the teammate's email address and choose the role they need.
- Create the invitation, then copy its link.
- Share the link with the invited person through your team's communication channel.
- The recipient opens the link and follows the acceptance steps to join the named workspace.
Invitations are created as shareable links. The Invitations page groups them into pending, accepted, and expired states so you can track access requests. A System Administrator selects the destination workspace when creating an invitation.
Keep access current
Revoke a pending invitation when it should no longer grant access. For someone who has already joined, manage their workspace membership rather than revoking the old invitation.
Use a Viewer role for someone reviewing saved results, and Member for someone building or executing workflows. Keep at least one Workspace Admin assigned so the team can manage invitations and workspace settings.
Team members use their email address and password to sign in. Workspace membership determines the resources they can access after signing in.
